Browns release Odell Beckham Jr., should the Arizona Cardinals be interested?

Names are fun to imagine... Big names are even more fun.

Sometimes they make sense, like when fans were pining for the Arizona Cardinals to make a deal for Fletcher Cox.

He replaces the injured(?) J.J. Watt.

However, when the Cleveland Browns decided on Friday to release former All Pro Odell Beckham Jr. it became obligatory for every fan base to wonder if they should pick up the talented wide receiver.

For the Cardinals the answer is simple. No.

Not because the Cardinals could not use a talent like Odell, but instead because right now they are in a good groove with their weapons, they have the right pieces that are really in a groove together and they do not need to disrupt that over a hamstring injury and Covid-19 positive test.

Now, if DeAndre Hopkins hamstring was a season ending issue, or something else was going on with A.J. Green, then absolutely explore all options to improve the team. Right now, leave things as is and move forward with the talented if slightly gimpy team you have and get ready for a big final three games before the bye week.
