The Covid-19 bug continues to hit the Arizona Cardinals.
While we know about A.J. Green and Demetrius Harris, now there is another wave of coaches who will miss the game on Sunday due to a positive Covid-19 test.
From the team:
Arizona Cardinals assistant head coach/special teams coordinator Jeff Rodgers, running backs coach James Saxon and assistant offensive line coach Brian Natkin will not attend Sunday’s game at San Francisco due to COVID-19 protocols.
Assistant special teams coach Devin Fitzsimmons will primarily handle Rodgers’ special teams responsibilities while duties of the other two assistants will be assumed by other members of the offensive coaching staff
While Natkin is the least of the worries, missing Rodgers could be a big deal in a game where points could be at a premium and getting great special teams play could be the key to a win.
As for Saxon, the running backs have been excellent this year, so we will see what type of issues if any that presents.
Let’s hope for a healthy and quick return for all three.
