It was nearly a flawless first half for the Arizona Cardinals as they go into the half with a 17-7 lead.

It has been a great start to the game with the defense and offense both playing well despite a number of new injuries that popped up during the game.

Chase Edmonds left on the first play of the game.

Justin Pugh was carted off.

Yet, the Arizona Cardinals offense was carried by high quality runs by James Conner, timely accurate throws by Colt McCoy and an impressive game plan by Kliff Kingsbury in the first half.

Now, the question becomes can they finish in the second half?

They have done quite well defensively, forcing two turnovers, but they let up a quick touchdown drive to end the first half.

Of course that was aided by an iffy pass interference call.

The Cardinals have a great shot to finish 2-0 against the San Francisco 49ers, let’s hope they close out with a strong second half.
