We looked at Todd McShay’s second mock draft of the 2021 NFL Draft season.
I like to let those marinate for a bit on their own before I give my thoughts on things so after a day, here was my takeaway.
McShay had the Cardinals taking Gregory Rousseau with the 16th pick.
First on the prospect, Rousseau is an interesting player because it’s a lot of projection. More than most prospects because he’s only played one season of college football.
That makes it tough because he was so great that one season.
That begs the question, do you pass up players that we’ve seen more from?
The only two players I’d take hands down no questions asked over Rousseau here are Christian and Christian.
That’s Christian Barmore or Christian Darrisaw. They both are better, at least from longevity, while addressing huge needs.
I’d be open to listening about Jaycee Horn.
I feel like it’s a tough choice because there’s some good prospects but I wonder how many dominant players there are at 16? I think the Christian’s are.
What do you think?
