Arizona Cardinals offensive line only has one question heading into 2021

NFL: Buffalo Bills at Arizona Cardinals Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

When the Arizona Cardinals traded for Rodney Hudson, the offensive line was basically set.

You have left tackle D.J. Humphries, left guard Justin Pugh who just took a straight up paycut to make sure he can stay with the Cardinals, newly acquired Rodney Hudson and right tackle Kelvin Beachum.

That leaves only the right guard position for the Cardinals to figure out this summer.

For the Cardinals, the offensive line is likely to be the best it has been in, maybe ever at least in the desert.

Now, the candidates are in place for the right guard position, the question becomes who wins it?

Brian Winters is the newly acquired veteran who had his worst season as a pro in Buffalo last year. The 29-year old veteran has been good in his career though, especially when playing next to Kelvin Beachum.

Justin Murray has been a revelation for the Cardinals, becoming one of the most valuable backups in the NFL, and playing all over the line at a high enough level that he deserves the chance to win the spot.

Then there is 2020 draftee Josh Jones. Jones is without a doubt the most athletic of the group, but he needed to work once he got to the pros. After a year in the system, he has a chance to win a starting job and become an anchor on the line as the youngest member.

While I am sure we all are hopeful that Jones takes the position and locks it down for years to come, it is nice that this is the only discussion we are having along the offensive line.
