Imagining seven-rounds of a draft is exhausting.
Writing a full seven-round mock draft for every single teams seems like something only a sadist would do.
Today’s special person who did their own full seven-round mock was CBS Sports Josh Edwards.
I’ll save you the time of looking for the Arizona Cardinals picks here:
Round 1 - Pick 16 - Azeez Ojulari LB
GEORGIA • SOPH • 6’3” / 240 LBSAfter losing Haason Reddick, it just makes sense for Arizona to replace a very productive player. The team has gone all in for the upcoming season and Ojulari gives them another piece that can be dropped into coverage or rush the passer.
49. Cardinals - Aaron Robinson, CB, UCF
160. Cardinals - Bobby Brown III, DT, Texas A&M
223. Cardinals - Pooka Williams, RB, Kansas
243. Cardinals - James Smith, P, Cincinnati
247. Cardinals - Michael Menet, C, Penn State
The first two picks are fine, but I doubt we will see the Cardinals draft a punter after bringing back Andy Lee.
For those unfamiliar with Robinson, he is a talent. He was recruited to play at Alabama and was good enough to play as a true freshman. He is physical, and looks like he can become a starter.
Bobby Brown is a big-bodied nose tackle type, I don’t think he would be on their radar as he seems redundant to Rashard Lawrence and Leki Fotu from last year.
Williams seems like a no-go for the Cardinals from a size/skill and off-field standpoint.
As I said about Smith, just don’t see it.
Haven’t watched Menet.
What do you think?
