As the offseason continues the Arizona Cardinals continue to bring back key players, today they brought back one of the best producers of 2020 in Dennis Gardeck.

From the team:

Gardeck (6-0, 232) played in 14 games last season and had 7.0 sacks, seven tackles for loss, 10 QB hits and a fumble recovery in just 93 defensive snaps while also adding nine special teams tackles. Selected as a special teams captain for the first time in his career last season, Gardeck’s 7.0 sacks were the second most on the team in 2020 and established a single-season franchise record for the most sacks by a player who entered the league undrafted. He was named a Pro Bowl alternate as a special teamer in 2019 after posting a team-high 10 tackles and a fumble recovery in 14 games. The 26-year old Gardeck signed with the Cardinals as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Sioux Falls in 2018. He appeared in all 16 games as a rookie and had eight special teams tackles and led all NFL rookies with 388 special teams snaps.

Gardeck was fantastic in 2020 before an injury ended one of the most productive seasons we have seen from a pass rusher on a per snap basis.

Excited to see Gardeck get back to health in 2021.
