The Arizona Cardinals are sitting with the 16th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and they should have plenty of options.
The question becomes, what is the best use of their resources?
We’ve seen a number of scenarios where the Cardinals take a cornerback, where they trade back and even where they take an edge rusher.
In the first mock draft from Charles Davis, he has the Arizona Cardinals going a different route.
Let’s take a look:
“16. Arizona Cardinals - Alijah Vera-Tucker
USC · OG
Vera-Tucker can play inside or at tackle. He’ll provide extra protection for young QB Kyler Murray.”
The Cardinals take an offensive lineman that can slot in at the right guard position immediately. Vera-Tucker is an interesting fit. The Cardinals need a guard, but will AVT be a physical enough presence and give the Cardinals a force in the run game as well as protect Murray?
That was the question Sully brought up in the ODBP last week.
What are your thoughts on Vera-Tucker and a potential fit with the Cardinals?
