Impact NFL players still available in free agency for the Arizona Cardinals

NFL: Houston Texans at Pittsburgh Steelers Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

With free agency sort of in the rear view mirror it’s easy to forget there are still some interesting free agents who could positively impact teams.

Bleacher Report listed eight of those free agents and didn’t think any would be fits for the Arizona Cardinals.

What do you think?

Let’s take a look at the eight they listed:

Antonio Brown, WR - Tampa Bay

Wayne Gallman, RB - New York Giants

Casey Hayward, CB - Los Angeles Chargers

Justin Houston, Edge - Indianapolis Colts

Steven Nelson, CB - Pittsburgh Steelers

Everson Griffen, Edge - Detroit Lions

Rick Wagner, OT - Green Bay Packers

K.J. Wright, LB - Seattle Seahawks

It’s a good list, with three that really look like they could be an impact signing. The first and a bit out of left field is Wright.

Wright would be a perfect fit with Jordan Hicks and allow them to deploy Isaiah Simmons in a number of ways. It also could make sense for Wright to eventually take over for Hicks and play Simmons and Wright together. Of course this is unlikely given that Hicks just took a pay cut, but Wright would immediately be the best linebacker on the team.

The other and more obvious two are Hayward and Nelson who both have extensive work outside at cornerback.

They would give the Cardinals a veteran duo with Malcolm Butler.

What do you think? Would any of these free agents fit with the Cardinals?
