The Arizona Cardinals have had a nice free agency period, but there are always storm clouds to rain on your parade.
Bleacher Report has done just that with their worst free agent signings for each team.
Who do they think is the Arizona Cardinals worst signing?
Arizona Cardinals: WR A.J. Green
The Arizona Cardinals seem to believe they have what it takes to be a contender in 2021 andhave been splurging on veteran pieces to round out their roster.
They’ll be relying on wideout A.J. Green, who signed in free agency after spending his first nine years with the Cincinnati Bengals. He inked a one-year, $6 million deal that shows the Cardinals still believe he has something left in the tank.
While kicking the tires on Green makes sense for any contending team seeking to add a veteran to its receiving corps, the price tag Arizona paid is awfully high for a player who hasn’t produced at a high level in nearly a half-decade.
I mean, I get it a little bit, but not that much. It is not that bad of a signing, and the $6 million figure is not too much considering what other wide receivers are getting.
However, he has not produced in a while, so I get that complaint, but it is not as though it is a multiple year deal?
What do you think?
