Arizona Cardinals bubble watch 2021

NFL: Arizona Cardinals OTA USA TODAY Sports

After one preseason game the Arizona Cardinals sit at 1-0. That doesn’t change the fact that they must trim five players off their roster heading into preseason game two.

That is right, later today the Cardinals will trim the roster from 90 to 85.

Who are the players on the bubble?

Let’s take a look after game one.

Picasso Nelson, CB - The Cardinals cornerback depth after game one is not too bad and Nelson seems the most likely to be the first man out the door.

Ian Bunting, TE - The tight end position is one of plenty of questions for the Cardinals, but the Cardinals added Demetrius Harris and we know the top two will be Maxx Williams and Darrell Daniels.

Jamell Garcia-Williams, Edge - The Cardinals just brought on Bryson Young, means likely one player is getting cut from the position group.

Josh Mauro, DL - The Cardinals know what they have in Mauro, they may want to see if they have something better in one of the younger camp bodies.

A.J. Richardson, WR - The Cardinals wide receiver room is pretty full. Who goes first? Richardson is likely at the top of the list.

Rico Gafford, WR - Second on the wide receiver list is Gafford. I would think the way Greg Dortch worked in the return game to open the preseason.

Tavien Feaster, RB - They have four running backs. Do they keep five for the final preseason game or will Feaster get the axe early?

What do you think?
