The Arizona Cardinals first move on Tuesday’s cut down day didn’t get us any closer to clarity on what the moves will be.
Instead, the first move was a swap of punters.
From the team:
The Arizona Cardinals Football Club today announced that the team has been awarded its waiver claim on punter Ryan Winslow from the Green Bay Packers and has released punter Tyler Newsome.
Winslow (6-5, 217) returns to the Cardinals after playing in two games with the team in 2019 when he had a 44.2-yard average on six punts with two inside the 20-yard line. He spent part of the 2020 regular season and postseason on the Packers practice squad. The 27-year old Winslow entered the NFL with Chicago in 2018 as an undrafted rookie free agent from the University of Pittsburgh and signed with the Cardinals in 2019. He was an All-ACC first-team selection as a senior in 2017 at Pitt after leading the conference with a career-best 44.5-yard average on 57 punts.
Not sure what this is about, but welcome back to the desert for the next couple of weeks, Ryan.
