Chandler Jones isn’t going to make it easy.
Arizona has a tough decision to make with 31 year old Chandler Jones, and apparently he’s not going to make it an easy one. The 3x All-Pro put together a monster day, tallying 5 sacks and 2 forced fumbles.
Something about consistency?
It wasn’t just the Chandler Jones Show.
Well, it kinda was. Jones wasn’t alone, as the rest of the defense put together a relentless effort. The Titans run game was stifled, as they kept Derrick Henry to a paltry 3.4 YPC on 17 attempts.
The passing game was also stymied, with Julio Jones similarly slowed down to 29 yards on the day.
If the unit can continue to perform as cohesively as they did yesterday, well, look out.
The Offense was ready to roll.
The Kyler and DHop Show never fails to disappoint, as they went to town on the Titan’s defense. But just as importantly, they didn’t do it alone - notably Rondale Moore and Christian Kirk made contributions on some big plays of their own.
The NFC West is going to be rough… again
It's only Week 1.

But all four NFC West teams won today while having a top 10 offense and a top 10 defense as measured by EPA/play (with BAL/LV still outstanding). pic.twitter.com/KFfbarUhRn
Finally putting it all together?
Early on, it was looking like a mix of the same ‘ol Cards (and the same new cards?) with several penalties early on and some burning of timeouts. But after they got that out of their system, things were looking pretty smooth. Is it too much to hope that in year 3 of this regime, things are finally gelling? We’ll see.
