For the Arizona Cardinals, they made a move on Saturday where the team activated Antonio Hamilton as a Covid-19 replacement for receiver Antoine Wesley.
On Tuesday they made another move to activate Wesley, but it did not involve anything with Hamilton this time.
From the team:
The Arizona Cardinals Football Club today announced that the team has activated wide receive rAntoine Wesley from the Reserve/COVID-19 list and has released kicker Matt McCrane from the practice squad.
Matt Prater’s performance was obviously good enough that McCrane isn’t necessary, but I think this also says a couple of things.
- We will be keeping an eye on Marco Wilson’s health, he left the game with an ankle and Hamilton did a nice enough job filling in.
- Hamilton was fantastic sticking his nose in and making plays.
How important is Wilson this week? I mean, I would like to not be the first team to lose to the Jacksonville Jaguars, so I say somewhat.
Of course, their offensive line has been bad, so maybe that is enough.
Welcome back Antoine Wesley and good luck in your next stop to Matt McCrane.
