The Arizona Cardinals made a bevy of moves on Wednesday, one that has to have the fan base excited is that the Cardinals designated edge rusher and special teams ace Dennis Gardeck to return from the injured reserve list.
From the team:
The team has designated linebacker Dennis Gardeck (hand) to return from the injured reserve list. Gardeck can begin practicing and the team can activate him to the 53-man roster at any time during the next 21 days or at the conclusion of the three-week period.
Gardeck of course exploded onto the scene last season when he had seven sacks and seven tackles for loss in 94 defensive snaps.
He was the most productive pass rusher per snap in the NFL last season, registering a sack on 7.5% of the snaps he played. Think about the absurdity of that.
In Chandler Jones amazing 2019 his rate was 1.8%.
Now, what will Gardeck do in his return from surgery? We should know in a couple of weeks.
Welcome back, Gardeck.
