A terrible ending to the first half for the Arizona Cardinals is a perfect encapsulation of where this team is.

The Cardinals trail 21-8 at the half after one good offensive drive, and one stop on defense late that should have been a pick six if not for the shoddy home field turf.

Instead, the Cardinals got into Matt Prater field goal range and he nailed a 56-yarder, except Geoff Swaim was called for a hold and instead of it being 21-11, it is 21-8 and the Cardinals just can’t get out of their own way.

Defensively they are being embarrassed, unable to get any type of stop against the Los Angeles Rams offense.

On the flip side, you have the Cardinals offense who can’t get anything going either.

It’s a miserable first half. Let’s see if they can have a better second half and finish strong.

Let’s go Cardinals!
