The Arizona Cardinals have had a tough season, but they have been mostly healthy along the offensive line.
The revolving door at left guard has been an issue, but with D.J. Humphries, Hjalte Froholdt, Will Hernandez and Paris Johnson Jr. the Cardinals have turned into one of the best run blocking offensive lines in the NFL.
Now, that will change for the final game.
The team announced on Wednesday that veteran left tackle D.J. Humphries has a torn ACL and will miss the final game.
The 30-year old Humphries has had a number of knee injuries in his career, including a torn MCL and dislocated knee cap.
Last season he only played in eight games due to a back issue.
So, to see Humphries play and play fairly well in 2023 was a nice sign.
Now, with the injury he is going to be guaranteed his salary in 2024, but may not be ready to play at all.
The Cardinals offseason may have just gotten more interesting as maybe an offensive tackle is going to be more of a pressing need heading into free agency or the draft.
Get well soon, D.J.
